Flights to Cape Town arrive at Cape Town International Airport, located just over 15 miles east of Cape Town city centre. There are 5 terminals, all of which are within walking distance of each other, making transfers between terminals easy. Door-to-door shuttle buses run from the International Terminal and can be booked in advance at Arrivals. Taxis are available to and from the city centre. The journey time is about 20 minutes. Travellers are advised to use the airport's officially authorised taxi company, Touch Down Taxis, rather than unauthorised cabs.

There are banks, currency exchange and cash machine facilities at Cape Town airport. You can also hire mobile phones, and wireless internet access is available at both international and domestic terminals. There are places to eat and drink throughout the airport, as well as duty free shops, a pharmacy, clothes shops and a gift shop.
