French cuisine is considered some of the best in the world, and where better to get a taste of it than in one of Paris's fabulous restaurants? You can try a world of different cuisine in Paris, including Italian, Japanese (the Latin Quarter is home to many a great Japanese restaurant tucked away in cute, cobbled alleyways), Spanish, Middle Eastern and many, many more.
The best nightclubs in Paris are in the northeastern districts of the city, specifically in Belleville, Ménilmontant and Canal St-Martin. Other chic hangouts are located in St-Germain-des-Prés, while a younger crowd frequents the Latin Quarter. The Champs-Élysées and Rue St-Honoré are enjoyed by a more upscale crowd. Other top spots are the bars and clubs of Bastille and le Marais.
For something a little different, you might want to experience the magical Moulin Rouge, most recently made famous in Baz Luhrman's film of the same name. The Parisian theatre season lasts from September until June, during which time you can catch a performance at one of the theatres along the Grands Boulevards, enjoy the opera at Opéra Garnier or while away an afternoon watching the puppets at the Luxembourg Gardens.
