Flights to Tenerife arrive at Tenerife Reina Sofia Airport, situated 37.5 miles south of Santa Cruz. The airport has only one terminal. There are telephones, a bank, cash machines and a post office in the airport, as well as several restaurants and bars and duty free shopping.

Buses run from the airport at regular intervals on three routes: one to the central bus station in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, one to North Tenerife Airport (for inter-island flights), and one to Los Cristianos (for ferries to La Gomera and La Palma). Taxis are readily available outside the terminal building. The journey from the airport to Santa Cruz de Tenerife takes approximately one hour.
